The first visit

We are well equipped to make new patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their first visit. I work inclusively with people of all genders, the LBGTQ community and single women.

I will start by getting to know you and your health history and tailor a physical examination to your needs. I have extensive experience managing a range of conditions across general gynaecology and in particular, infertility.

If you are looking for help in conceiving, I might ask you and your partner(s) about your sexual and reproductive health, including birth control, menstrual cycle and attempts at falling pregnant. I will also discuss lifestyle factors, such as diet, exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption. I may also recommend further testing to find out the cause of any fertility issues.

You can help your first appointment run smoothly by bringing:

• your completed registration and history forms (emailed to you when you booked your appointment)
• your doctor’s referral
• your medicare card and health fund card
• a list of all supplements and medications you are currently taking
• copies of any recent blood tests and ultrasound reports
• copies of any previous fertility treatment records and results, if applicable
• a list of any questions you may have

It’s a good idea to ask us to repeat any information you miss or even write down some information for you.
